Walk & Wade Trips

Guided Montana walk and wade fly-fishing trips. Explore a run on foot, learn to read the current, and choose a route that fits your group.

What to expect

Boots on the ground. Flies in the water.

Walk and wade lets us slow down and work a piece of river from the bank and in the current. Your guide helps you find a safe position, read the run, and get the drift where it needs to go.

Tell us about the walking.

Some days involve a hike and uneven ground. Some groups prefer shorter walks and more time in one run. Tell us what feels comfortable so we can choose the route together.

Bring sturdy walking boots with good traction. We’ll sort out wading footwear and the rest of the gear with you before the day.

Spend some time with a run.

We can work on casting, mending, fly choice, and reading where a fish might hold. You don’t have to arrive knowing all of it.

We’ll move when it makes sense and keep the pace suited to your crew. Conditions and access still have the last word on where we fish.
