Go Fish Montana, LLC

Privacy Policy

What Go Fish Montana collects, why we use it, who helps process it, and how to ask us to access, correct or delete your information.

Effective and updated October 9, 2026.

Who handles your information

Go Fish Montana, LLC (GFM, we, or us) is the business responsible for information collected through this website and our trip, lodging and product inquiries. Our published outfitter number is 26927. This policy covers those services, including information you send by email or phone.

For a privacy request, email noah@gofishmontana.com or call 406-800-1212. You do not need an account to contact us.

Information we receive

  • What you send: your name, email, phone number, preferred fishing dates, group size, guide preference, lodging needs and message. A product inquiry can include item, size, quantity and delivery preferences. A town and state are enough for an initial shipping question.
  • Service records: correspondence, inquiry status and the arrangements you approve. If an inquiry becomes a booking or order, we explain any additional information needed at that stage.
  • Technical information: hosting and security services can receive your IP address, browser/device information, requested page, request time and session identifiers while delivering and protecting the website.

Please do not put payment card numbers, passwords, government ID documents, children’s contact details or sensitive health information in a form or ordinary email. We do not request precise device location. River weather uses fixed gauge locations, rather than your phone’s location.

How we use it

We use your information to answer the request you make, plan guided fishing and lodging, discuss an order, keep necessary business records, resolve problems and protect the service from spam and duplicate submissions. Name, email, phone, date and group size are required for a website trip request. You can contact us by phone or email instead.

Trip and lodging forms submit to Wix Forms, which stores the inquiry for GFM and supports business notifications. The required checkbox acknowledges the privacy notice and asks us to respond to that inquiry.

Field Goods requests prepare an email draft in your browser. That draft is not submitted to the website or saved by GFM in browser storage. Your email provider handles it when you send it, and GFM then uses the received message to arrange the order.

A request does not subscribe you to a newsletter or authorize promotional texts. We do not sell personal information, share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. No public customer account or online checkout is enabled.

Who receives it

  • Wix: website hosting, inquiry storage, session handling and spam protection. Wix can process inquiry content and technical information needed to provide these services. Read Wix’s privacy information.
  • Upstash: short-lived submission protection. Our server sends keyed, hashed session/request identifiers, a request digest, counters and a provider receipt identifier. It does not send names, email addresses, phone numbers or message text to this store. These identifiers remain protected data, even though they are hashed. Read Upstash’s privacy information.
  • Our business email provider: notifications, messages and replies, including the contact information and request details in those messages.
  • Guides and lodging hosts: information needed to arrange the service you ask for, after we discuss those arrangements with you. We do not automatically forward every inquiry to a partner.

Authorized business operators can access records needed for their work. We may disclose relevant records when required by law or reasonably necessary to address fraud, a security incident or a legal claim. We do not give partners access to all inquiries.

GFM operates in the United States. Providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate. Partner and project links open independent websites with their own privacy practices.

How long we keep it

Our standard rule is to keep an unconverted inquiry for up to 12 months from submission. We review records quarterly to remove expired inquiries and related correspondence. A shorter legal requirement or valid deletion request can shorten that period. A documented legal, dispute or security hold can extend it.

If an inquiry becomes a confirmed trip or order, we retain the necessary booking, outfitter and accounting records for their applicable legal and business retention periods. We do not keep every original inquiry detail simply because a booking exists.

Submission-limit counters expire after 10 minutes; duplicate-submission receipts expire after one hour. The first-party inquiry security cookie, when needed, expires after 24 hours. Application security events exclude form content and raw session identifiers. Hosting/security logs and provider backups follow the relevant provider’s retention settings. Deleted records may remain in protected backups until those copies expire.

Your requests and choices

You can ask us to confirm whether we hold your information, provide a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop an optional use. Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent or an authorized agent. We do not penalize you for exercising a privacy right. Some information is necessary to provide an ongoing service or meet a legal obligation.

Email noah@gofishmontana.com with “Privacy request” in the subject, or call us. Tell us the request and how to reach you. We may verify your identity using information already associated with the inquiry; do not email an ID document. We aim to respond within 30 days and follow any shorter applicable deadline. If a lawful extension or exception applies, we explain it.

If we decline a request, we explain why and how to appeal. Send an appeal to the same address with “Privacy appeal” in the subject. We respond within 60 days, or sooner if required by law. Montana residents can also contact the Montana Office of Consumer Protection; residents elsewhere can contact their applicable privacy regulator.

Cookies, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Optional analytics, advertising and cross-site tracking are disabled in this release. We do not change that setting when a browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, because those optional uses are already off for everyone. Necessary security and delivery processing still operates. See the Cookie Notice and choices for the current inventory and browser controls.

Children and family trips

Our inquiry forms are intended for adults arranging a trip or order. A parent or guardian should handle arrangements for anyone under 18. Please use the adult’s contact information and avoid sending a child’s full name, direct contact details or health information through the website.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through these forms. If a child has submitted information, a parent or guardian can contact us to have it reviewed and deleted where required. Family participation in a guided trip is arranged separately with the responsible adult.

Security and policy changes

We use HTTPS, access controls and submission protections appropriate to this service. No website or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Tell us promptly if you suspect information has been exposed or sent to the wrong person.

The effective and update date appears at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will give affected people notice and obtain consent where required before applying that new use. New analytics, payments, accounts or project integrations require a separate privacy review before activation.
